About

I am a highly motivated, analytical, team player and goal-oriented development professional with many years’ experience. I have contributed to the implementation of development projects and strategies in 20 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. My experience includes programme design, policy, research, strategy and business development. I am also experienced in the private sector as I have worked for IBM in business operations and consulting roles, and also advising Telefónica Movistar on the development of new mobile services.

In April 2017, I joined CABI as Private Sector Engagement Manager. My work involves: developing and managing CABI’s private sector engagement strategy and portfolio; as well as researching, establishing and managing new partnerships with private sector companies both at the corporate and programme levels.

Since March 2019, I have also worked as the Engagement, Learning & Communication Lead for FCDO’s Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA), which is a 5-year, £30 million programme financed by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. I am responsible for overseeing, managing and providing quality control to all activities related to stakeholder engagement (investors, governments, donors and other support stakeholders), high-impact research commissioning, development communications and event management of the CASA Programme.

Previously, I worked for Oxfam as a Private Sector Adviser (Livelihoods, Women Empowerment and ICTs). My work involved: leading Oxfam’s participation in mNutrition; leading Oxfam’s work on the use of ICTs for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Care (WE-Care); developing innovative and strategic projects and programs that use ICTs to deliver information and financial services to smallholder farmers; establishing and managing new partnerships with private sector companies across the ICT and agriculture sectors, and developing strategy around private sector engagement.

I am a development economist by training. I graduated in Business and Economic Administration and hold a Masters degree in Globalization and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
